In 2008, my life changed when I was diagnosed with cancer. Like many people, I felt overwhelmed, afraid, and unsure what to do next. Over the years, I learned, asked questions, explored different approaches, and gradually found my way back to health and a meaningful life.

My experience taught me that being a patient doesn’t mean being passive. You can be informed, involved, and supported, and still hold on to hope.

Why I wrote this book

The book I wish I'd had.

During my own journey, I encountered both excellent conventional care and many different complementary approaches. I also came across a lot of confusing and sometimes misleading information.

That experience inspired me to write a book that brings together what really matters: evidence-based information, practical guidance, and a compassionate, realistic perspective — without false promises.
